The teddy bear was inspired by a 1902 political cartoon depicting then-president Theodore “teddy” roosevelt sparing the life of a bear on a haunting expedition. the bear became the mascot for Roosevelts re-election campaign, and sales of stuffed bear toys surged. a toy – maker sent one to the president asking if he could name the teddy bear in hishonor, and roosevelt agreed.

The “Baby Ruth” candy bar was named after the daughter of president Grover Cleveland. AHH PROBABLY NOT!
When Curtiss Candy Company introduced the Baby Ruth bar in 1921, they claimed it was after Clevelands daughter who was indeed named ruth. However, Ruth Cleveland died of diphteria at age 12 in 1904, and it seems unlikely that Curisswouldve named their candy for the deceased daughter of a former president. Coincidentially a baseball player nicked named “BABE” Ruth hade just sky rocketed to fame at this time. Conventionall wisdom is that the company attributed the name of their candy bar to Ruth Cleveland so the baseball star wouldnt sue them for using his name.

However this doesn’t mean that cherries and milk are a deadly combination most likely one or the other was contaminated with cholera, typhoid or some kind of food-borne bacteria

These stories might seem a bit off the wall but this is what they believed. And coming from a mexican descendant family i have herd that the aztecs were very powerful and intelectual and very spiritual people that they could move huge rock boulders with their minds. They were suppose to have some sort of telechenisis. The aztecs would communicate through their minds and would speak to their ancestors for advice and to the gods in their temples. I have herd that aztecs as well as the myans were hidden in the temples after the whole columbus period . the truth or myth is that they’ve been alive since then in there mystical powers and will wait until the end of the earth when is suppose to end. It has been said that when people visit the temple sometimes they see these mysterious face painted magical beings.

people often dream about god telling them to do something. If god is real maybe god is communicating to them to motivate them to do something for themselves or whatso ever. If god isnt real they are using the god theme to motivate them selves unconsciously to do something. either way god is in their dreams in there lives.

Aliens. Short little green creatures, or grey tall and skinny with a big head? Over centuries we have questioned ourselves with are they real or not? When I say alien or aliens I refer to foreign life something of the nonhuman species. I believe the scientific term is extraterrestrial life, which means life that does not originate here on earth. Then if it does not originate here on earth why are there so many encounters? Could it be that there technology be that more advanced than us? That they could travel thousands of light years and so forth just to come to earth? In an encounter called the Silbury Hill Background notes, “In May, 1994, four researchers, including nuclear scientists were visiting the site of a crop design near Silbury Hill, when they witnessed a military experience, moments before they all experienced 45 minutes of lost time. Shortly after this period, they experienced another lost time episode. This strange, other worldly experience was supported by red marks on their necks, and nose bleeds a short time later.” In July 2009 This brings us to present day mystery at the Silbury Hill. If this story is true, it is an amazing one. According to the Colin Andrews web page, on July 7, at 5:00 AM, an off duty Wiltshire Police Sergeant was driving on the A4 highway and soon to pass Silbury Hill, which sat on his left side of the highway. The sergeant looked to his right, and was shocked see three very tall beings inspecting a new crop circle which had appeared there only two days before. He stopped his vehicle, and watched the beings for a couple of minutes. All three were over six feet in height, had blonde hair, and wore one-piece suits of white which had hoods dropped onto the back of their heads. Finally, he shouted at them, but was ignored. Finally, he entered the field on foot, and the three beings ran at a fast pace away from the crop circle. He also heard a sound, like the crackling of electricity, as the beings examined the crop circle. The crop in the field was affected by the sound as it moved each time he heard the sound – the louder the sound, the more the crop moved. He also developed a headache in the field, which became worse as the day went by. So after these stories of encounters I thought why do the aliens make crop circles? Why do people say they were abducted? Were they really abducted? I am not going to say I don’t believe in aliens because I personally do not because I’ve herd stories but because when we first moved here to Victorville as you can see the skies are more blue and also less contamination than Los Angeles, so I did what I would always do in my other house but yet more motivated because you could actually see more stars and the day before I had seen my first shooting star, so as I am lying there in my trampoline in my backyard I see what at first I assume is a airplane maybe helicopter it was moving yet it stood in the middle of the sky so I assumed helicopter then I realized, “where’s the sound?” I had not herd anything my heart started to race I had just been diagnosed with anxiety so that’s is why it was pounding like a hammer against a nail I felt myself having difficulties taking in my air yet I did not move I wanted to see it move. At that moment all the alien movies I had seen flashed through my head in a second then it moved first to the right, then to the left then in a circular movement going north then clockwise until it vanished into thin air. I was left with my mouth open with a terrible phobia and with a trauma of not being to look up at the sky for almost 3 years. Sometimes I try to make myself feel less stupid for believing in aliens I say I was so spooked that my anxiety triggered my mind into believing I saw something I really didn’t. What I do know for a fact is that image has never left head. So when people talk about anything short green or tall and skinny I immediately think,”Aliens!”

The story of the lost continent of Atlantis starts in 355BC. Plato is the Greek philosopher who wroteabout Atlantis in his book Timaeus . In Platos book theres a character named Kritias and the character tells us about Atlantis and that Atlantis has been in his family for generations. Kritias tells us that the story had been told to his ancestor Solon during a visit Solon had to Egypt. Kritias says that the story begins like this,
“There had been a powerful empire located to the west of the pillars of hercules (we now call them the Straight of Gibraltar) on an island in the Atlantic Ocean. The nation there had been established by Poisedon the god of the Sea. Poseidon fathered five sets of twins on the island. The first born Atlas, had the continent and the surrounding ocean named for him. Poseidon divided the land into ten sections, each to be ruled by a son, or his heirs. The capital city of atlantis was a marvel of architecture and engineering. The city was made of a series of concentric walls and canals. At the very center was a hill, and on top of the hill a temple to Poseidon. Inside was a gold statue of the God of the Sea showing him driving six winged horses. Then about 9,000 years before the time of Plato, after the people of Atlantis became corruptand greedy, the gods decided to destroy them. A violent earthquake shook the land, giant waves rolled over the shores, and the island sank into the sea, never to be seen sgain.”

Now the question is, is Atlantis real? Is it just a story told by Platos to make a point in his book? As Alan Cameron states:” It is only in modern times that people have taken the Atlantis story seriously; no one did so in antiquity”. So could it be that maybe back then no one took it seriously because there wasnt the technology to maybe look for it? Or maybe they knew it was just a fake?

A professor of history in the university of Queens at Belfast named K.T. Frost, suggested that instead of being west of the Pilars of Hercules, Atlantis was east. He also thought that the catastrophic end of the island had come not 9000 years before Platos time but only 900. If it was true, the island of Atlantis might already be a well known place even in Platos time: the island of Crete. Crete is now part of Greece who had one of the most sophisticated cultures of it times and a code of laws gave the women equal legal status to men. Also its agriculture was very developed and an extensive irrigation system exsisted. Then all of a sudden the civilization dissapeared. Geological studies have shown that on an island ten miles from Crete a disaster occured that was very capable of toppling the state.

So this brings us back do we want to believe Atlantis was Crete and that Platos might have made a mistake translating the Egypt scripts to Greek? Or that maybe atlantis is its own lost city somewhere under the ocean upside down maybe thats why we haven’t found it? What i think is that the idea of a lost but highly advanced civilization captures our interest more than Atlantis turning out to be Crete somewhere else with another name. The illusion we create around certain Myths or Truths are sometimes better than reality but we can never know for certain until they do find Atlantis or in Crete the center of the city with the God posiedon riding with his golden horses.
